Health Screening Benefit

Health screenings are an important part of managing your health. If you're enrolled in MetLife's Critical Illness Insurance, your plan provides an additional $50 Health Screening Benefit (HSB)1 for covered screenings and tests.

How to file a claim:

  • Call 1-800-GET-MET8 (1-800-438-6388) or visit mybenefits.metlife.com or our mobile app

  • Have your healthcare provider's name, address, phone number and testing information details available

  • Check the mail! You will receive your benefit payment within 10 days or less

  • The MetLife Health Screening Benefit (HSB)1 provides you with a benefit for taking care of your health

     

 You and each of your covered dependents2 will receive a payment each year for taking one of the covered screenings or tests. This benefit is in addition to any additional benefits you may qualify for under your coverage.

 

 

Here's how it works:

 

Susan goes for her annual dental exam. Afterward, she contacts MetLife by calling the telephone number below or going online to submit her Health Screening Benefit claim. Susan will need to have available her dentist's name, phone number, treatment dates and details. Susan should receive her benefit payment within 10 business days.3 It's that easy!

1 The Health Screening Benefit may not be available in all states. In some states, the benefit is referred to as the Accident Prevention Screening Benefit.

3 Applies only to "clean" claims. A clean claim is a claim submitted with all the required information necessary to process the claim; no missing information requiring additional follow-up with the subscriber. It generally takes 10 business days to process "clean" claims.
